Anne-Émilie Gold and Steve Gold are partners in Gravel To Gold, Inc. They are a husband and wife team.
Anne-Émilie Gold (née Anne-Émilie Gravel) is a native of Paris, France. She grew up in Paris and Montreal, and after traveling the globe, settled on the West Coast of the United States. She earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Montreal in 2000, and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley in 2002 . She worked for reputable Seattle based firms Jones & Jones Architects and Landscape Architects, Ltd., and GGLO, where she honed her skills as a landscape designer, to become a registered Landscape Architect in the State of Washington in 2008. Anne-Émilie has worked on public and private gardens, urban design plans, zoos, visual analyses, highways, and urban parks. For the past years she has focused her attention on residential water wise gardens. She has also enjoyed designing preschool playgrounds. She believes in conserving natural resources, respecting local cultural values while designing beautiful and playful outdoor spaces. See her resumé here.

Steve Gold, a native of Southern California, studied horticulture and landscape design at UC Berkeley, Cabrillo College, and South Seattle Community College. He also worked under the tutelage of famed landscape designer and builder Hendrikus Schraven. Steve has more than 20 years of experience in garden design. He successfully operated Urban Escapes Inc., his own landscape design and construction firm for 12 years. He has extensive experience with landscape construction, project management, construction administration, and prides himself in finding budget conscious solutions for outdoor spaces. His work has been published in books, and many national magazines including Garden Design and Better Homes and Gardens.
