Our beautiful sanctuary full of birds, butterflies, and bees was once a tired, brown lawn and collection of old shrubs. Thanks to Gravel To Gold, Inc., we now enjoy wide swaths of colors and textures that complement our newly remodeled home! The one word that describes our beautiful yard is tranquil.
Anne-Emilie worked tirelessly to design our drought tolerant landscape and preserved many large trees while moving existing plants to achieve a balanced theme throughout.
Meandering paths offer great enjoyment of various scents, blooms, species of butterflies and birds. Anne-Emilie successfully eliminated our clutter and resourcefully utilized many existing pots. Each pot was carefully placed and filled with just the right plant for the light and space. Anne-Emilie is extremely knowledgeable and talented in landscape design, and strives to base the design on your taste.
Steve Gold installed our landscape according to Anne-Emilie’s design. We were so impressed by his work ethic, honesty, and knowledge of plants and soil. He is very hands on and his crew is excellent.
Furthermore, Gravel To Gold, Inc. provides quarterly maintenance so that all plants are properly pruned and fertilized. The results are amazing and speak for themselves! Every season has a different bloom and our plants are thriving because of their placement, and excellent soil preparation.
We highly recommend Gravel To Gold, Inc. for landscape design, installation and maintenance. They are excellent!

Dear Steve and Anne-Emilie,
We are writing this letter to thank you for the fabulous landscape design and installation that you completed at our home. We appreciated the time that you took to listen to what we would like to do and the collaborative way you worked with us to produce the desired effect.
You provided us with many options so that we had solid information on which to base our decisions. And now, being able to enjoy our mature landscape surrounding the house, we are truly grateful for the creative and beautiful work that you placed at our home.
The demolition and installation processes were the best that we have ever experienced. You treated our home like your own and always left the property in clean, usable condition at the end of every work day. You and your workers were very polite, respectful and professional. The survival of most every plant that was planted was amazing. The raised vegetable garden was perfect! All the plants that we planted grew well and we had a fantastic crop of vegetables. We could not have asked for more.
We would highly recommend your landscape design and installation to anyone. We feel that your professionalism, knowledge, attention to detail and friendly manner would be most welcome to anyone looking for someone to design their space.
Thank you very much for an enjoyable experience designing and landscaping our property.

Gravel to Gold, Inc. took on a large hardscape and landscape project at our 1940's bungalow in Pacific Beach. The work entailed removal of many truckloads of old grass and debris, and much tedious prep work to lay the foundations of a successful planting plan, including irrigation, LED lighting, and specific screening objectives. Gravel to Gold, Inc. was the designer and general contractor, with the concrete work sub-ed out to a trusted mason whom has many decades of experience.
The final product is beyond expectations, and was completed in almost exactly the predicted time. Gravel to Gold, Inc. even re-did some of the work that to me was perfect, but that did not meet their very high standards. In the end we paid what we were told the cost would be to within just a few percent (there are always surprises in work like this), but the accuracy with regard to budget and timing is the best I've ever encountered by a wide margin.
We would definitely use Gravel to Gold, Inc. again, and in fact, we are on our new project, a much bigger remodel of a 1920's Spanish-style house.
